Hornby trustees set priorities for next term

The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee placed Riparian Areas Regulation Mapping and Implementation at the top of its priorities, followed by the Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw Review and appointments to the Advisory Planning Commission. [1]
The committee also approved a letter of support for habitat restoration and stewardship actions for Taylor's Checkerspot butterfly on Hornby Island. [1]
Trustee Law reported that the Ferry Advisory Committee had been considering assured loading for some number of Hornby Island traffic on the 8:00 am sailing from Denman West terminal, and that BC Ferries had been asked to report on the procedures involved. [1]
The minutes record that Chair Graham said it was his last Local Trust Committee meeting as an elected official. [1]
