Hornby trustees sent draft land-use rules out for comment
The Local Trust Committee endorsed changes to the draft Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw and asked staff to post both April versions for public comment.

The endorsed drafts are to be posted on the Hornby web page for public comment, after trustees directed changes to both documents at their April 26 meeting.[1]
For the Official Community Plan, the changes included revising a home-occupation policy, changing the Forest designation for part of Mt. Geoffrey Park to Park, and adding the Environmentally Sensitive Areas Map to the project list for further discussion.[1]
For the Land Use Bylaw, trustees directed staff to seek comments from Bylaw Enforcement on noise levels for home occupations and to refer the draft to the Advisory Planning Commission and Bylaw Enforcement.[1]
The committee also asked staff to arrange early referrals of both drafts to the K’omoks First Nation, Denman Island Local Trust Committee, Islands Trust Executive Committee, Agricultural Land Commission and Ministry of Agriculture.[1]
