Hornby trustees seek ferry savings information and schedule improvements
The Local Trust Committee asked its chair to write to BC Ferries and the province about route-specific savings and support for work on ferry schedules.

The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee asked its chair to write to BC Ferries CEO Mike Corrigan for information on route-specific savings from recent service cutbacks and a commitment to assist the Denman and Hornby Islands Ferry Advisory Committee with schedule improvements. [1]
The committee also asked that the letter be copied to Minister Todd Stone, with a request for provincial cooperation in releasing the information. [1]
The motion, HO-2015-077, was carried at the committee’s October 2 meeting. [1]
The minutes say Trustee Tony Law provided a draft letter for discussion and reported that the request for savings information would support the ferry advisory committee’s continuing discussions about schedule improvements. [1]
