Hornby trustees seek expanded notice and public meeting on Rogers tower

The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee requested a meeting at the Hornby Island Community Hall to discuss the Rogers cell tower proposal. [1] The committee also requested that future written notification meet the Hornby Antenna Strategy requirements and that Rogers notify remaining property owners, residents, the School District and ambulance services. [1]
The minutes say Rogers was amenable to expanded notifications, and that Telus would share the proposed structure and add equipment. [1]
The chair clarified that the committee could concur or not concur with the proposal, but that non-concurrence could be overruled by the federal government. [1]
