The committee also endorsed a revised charter for a Vacation Home Rental Education and Bylaw Compliance Project. [1]
The revised charter allows the committee to consider the results of bylaw-enforcement research on non-compliant vacation-home rentals before advancing bylaw enforcement. [1]
At the meeting, public comments on vacation-home rentals included requests for protection of groundwater and adequate septic capacity across the island, and for proactive enforcement of non-compliant operations. [1]
