The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee directed staff to begin advertising the availability of Temporary Use Permits for seasonal accommodation, after discussing ways to make the permit process more accessible to people seeking worker housing.[1]
The minutes record three options: prioritizing applications, batching applications for consideration at one meeting, and using a combined public-notice strategy while investigating reduced individual application fees.[1]
The committee also requested that staff add a project to the Projects List to develop a process for batching Temporary Use Permits for worker accommodation.[1]
