Hornby trustees advance OCP and land-use bylaws
The Local Trust Committee gave second and third readings to both proposed bylaws and sent them to approval bodies.

The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee gave second and third readings to proposed Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 149 and Land Use Bylaw No. 150 at its July 18 meeting, then voted to send them for approval.[1]
The committee voted to submit Bylaw No. 149 to the Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development for approval.[1]
It also voted to submit both bylaws to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval.[1]
Before the votes, trustees said they supported moving the proposed bylaws forward as drafted; the minutes record that the planner had reviewed public-hearing concerns, correspondence, community information meeting proceedings and Advisory Planning Commission recommendations.[1]
The minutes say the bylaws were part of an Official Community Plan and Land Use Bylaw review, and Chair David Graham observed that the two had not been synchronized since 1993.[1]
