Hornby trustees advance development information bylaw
The proposed bylaw would allow information requirements for certain development applications, subject to further approvals.

The Hornby Island Local Trust Committee was asked to notify Trust Council that it intends to forward a Development Approval Information Bylaw for consideration at the regularly scheduled June 2015 Trust Council meeting. [1]
The proposed bylaw would allow the Local Trust Committee to obtain information about the anticipated impacts of development permit, temporary use permit and zoning amendment applications. [1]
Island Planner Rob Milne’s report said the current Official Community Plan does not contain the necessary conditions for using such a bylaw, while proposed Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 149, 2014, which was awaiting ministerial approval, does. [1]
The report said an applicant could be required to provide development approval information at the applicant’s expense for an amendment to a zoning bylaw, a development permit or a temporary use permit. [1]
The report recommended that the committee direct staff to prepare a Request for Decision for submission to the Executive Committee. [1]
